To access donated items or services through GIVIT, please connect with a support organisation registered with GIVIT that can assess your needs and provide assistance. At FIRS our aim is to provide easily accessible, non-judgmental and non-discriminatory support services to individuals and families living within the Shire of Kalamunda. FIRS is a non-profit organisation. FIRS receives funding to provide emergency relief assistance to people living in the Shire of Kalamunda. People experiencing an unforeseen financial crisis and who meet our eligibility requirements, may be able to be assisted with payment towards essentials such as power, gas and food. Other services include helping to increase parenting skills, knowledge and confidence to optimise their child’s development. Parents are empowered by open communication, empathy and non-judgmental attitudes to share a wide range of parenting and child development issues. Families are successfully linked to and/or informed of community resources and networks directly through the FIRS Early Years (CARE) Program. FIRS has been operating for over 20 years and now rely on donations to keep FIRS operational.

There are many levels of support that we can offer which include government supported Home Care Packages (HCP) and the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP).

Footprints Community - Assistance with Care and Housing
The Assistance with Care and Housing (ACH) program is designed to support people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, to access appropriate and sustainable housing as well as community care and other support services, specifically targeted at avoiding homelessness or reducing the impact of homelessness. ACH also provides support to people experiencing symptoms of hoarding disorder or who may live in domestic squalor.
Footprints ACH program acknowledges the value of lived experience. This program offers peer support work alongside case work and case management, to assist with housing and/or decluttering needs.
ACH is a free service, funded by the Australian Government as a part of the Commonwealth Home Support Program.

Footprints Community - Housing Older Women Support Service
Older women are the fastest growing group of people at risk of housing distress and homelessness in Australia.
Footprints Housing Older Women Support Service (HOWSS) offers a Brisbane-based Hub, a state-wide online navigation and support service, inclusive of all older women experiencing housing distress or homelessness.
HOWSS provides a place where older women can receive:
• assistance to find housing and support assistance
• face-to-face contact with skilled staff
• volunteer peer support from people with lived experience
• telephone and online advice and advocacy
• outreach services
• information and linkages to other human service support agencies
• engagement and education sessions for older women, and the sector
• state-wide collaborative regional responses.

The Housing and Homelessness Response Service (HRS) provides mobile and outreach supports to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across the Redlands, Wynnum, Southern Moreton Bay Islands and North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah).
HRS provides on the ground care coordination and support to enable individuals and families to move out of homelessness and have the right supports in place to maximise their independence, and improve health, wellbeing and quality of life.

The Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS) provides support to individuals to maintain or regain their independence, continue living safely in their homes, and actively participate in their communities.
You may be eligible for the QCSS if you are under 65 years old (or under 50 years old for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people) with:
• a disability (and are not eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme)
• chronic illness, mental health or other condition, or
• circumstances that impact your ability to live independently in the community.

Footprints Community - Recovery and Wellness Program
The Recovery and Wellness Program (RWP) is a psychosocial support program that provides psychoeducation and practical interventions to support individuals who reside in boarding houses, supported accommodations, hostels and crisis accommodations. The program offers recovery based support that will increase an individual’s capacity for self-management of lifestyle, and to support individuals in developing their own skills and resources to strengthen their community connections and increase positive relationships. The RWP works in partnership with the Metro North and Metro South Hospital and Health Services. All program participants are referred by clinicians through Queensland Health’s Mental Health Services.

Footprints SUSO outreach bus and its dedicated team is here to support individuals that are sleeping rough and/or at risk of homelessness. We can provide those individuals with a comfortable and safe environment to shower, access laundry facilities, and our dedicated team is available to help individuals get access to the right supports and services.
SUSO works with organisations and neighbourhood centres to complement the existing services that are already present in the area.
Our service currently operates weekly in Wynnum, Capalaba, Lawnton, Zillmere and Clontarf, over a 5 day working week.

The Footprints foundation is a free organization, in Sale Victoria, designed to provide support to women and families local to Sale region undergoing treatment for breast cancer. The goal of the Foundation is to support the family through this difficult time by engaging local community, volunteers and business's.

Footscape
Footscape is an Australian Charity that assists disadvantaged persons predisposed to debilitating foot pathology. The organisation is registered with Consumer Affairs Victoria and the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
Footscape projects include the provision of shoes and socks to homeless and other disadvantaged persons. Painful foot problems affecting such persons are accentuated as individuals are commonly forced to walk long distances upon poor shoes and poor socks. Footscape is collecting new and second-hand shoes (‘Shoe It Forward’ project) and new socks (‘Sock It To ‘Em’ project) for distribution to recipients of care at our affiliate organisations.

To receive donated items, services or vouchers through GIVIT, you must first connect with a relevant support organisation who can assess your needs and provide assistance. This organisation can then place a request(s) on GIVIT on your behalf.
To find relevant organisations in your area, use the search fields and filters above. Once you’ve input your filters, make sure you click ‘FIND AN ORGANISATION’ to find relevant organisations.
Thousands of organisations across Australia are registered with GIVIT, working across a variety of causes, hardships and demographics. Our priority is to respect and maintain the privacy, safety, dignity and independence of people reaching out for help. By connecting with a relevant support organisastion, your needs can be assessed and verified, and you can receive tailored support, which may include the organisation requesting items or services on your behalf through GIVIT.
The support organisation that is assisting you can request a range of donated items and services through GIVIT on your behalf. This may include furniture, household items, whitegoods and appliances. You can also request baby items, toiletries, toys and educational supplies, kid’s or adult’s clothing, digital devices like mobile phones or laptops.
GIVIT may also be able to help you buy groceries, fuel or medication in the form of vouchers. You can check our ‘What’s needed’ list for an idea of what can be requested through GIVIT.
Your requests may be filled through a donor donating the money needed to purchase the item new, or through a donor donating the actual item or service.
Your support organisation can also request time and skills such as tradespeople, cleaners, health and social support, tutoring and transport assistance.
