Family Access Network

Family Access Network has been providing services to young people since 1981 and is committed to responding to the diverse needs of homeless and at-risk young people and young families. Our service philosophy is underpinned by a client focused, rights-based approach. We operate in the belief that timely intervention maximises positive outcomes.

FAN’s vision is for a community which acknowledges and values the dignity and worth of all citizens, and enables individuals to deal positively with adverse situations in their lives.

Family Access Network will provide support to young people who are homeless and those at risk of homelessness.

Family and Connect

Provides initial intake and assessment and referral for families who have children in their care that have been identified as requiring support through Department of Communities and Justice.
It is a voluntary service and remains engaged with families until appropriate and relevant services within the community begin working with them.

Family as First Teachers (FaFT) - Yirrkala

The overall goal of FaFT is to improve the life long education, health and wellbeing outcomes for young children and their families.

Family Drug Support

Family Drug Support is a caring, non-religious organisation which provides non-judgmental, non-directive support and information to families and friends of those with a drug and/or alcohol dependence. FDS was founded by Tony Trimingham in 1997 following the loss of his son to a heroin overdose. In searching for support himself and his family, he realised there was very little. In speaking out about his concerns in the media, Tony was contacted by other families who told of similar experiences and this, combined with an overwhelming response to a public meeting, led to the formation of Family Drug Support.

Family Emergency Accommodation Townsville

We are a non government welfare organisation that is community based and managed. We provide a range of services including housing and support to low income families who are homeless and risk of homelessness in the Townsville area We work towards helping families into independent living. We offer information, advice and referral services as well as financial assistance to avoid eviction. We have a combination 29 crisis properties;23 Long tern Community Housing properties and 5 other community housing properties.
We have 4 community workers who offer in home support and practical support as well as an intake service.We have a mobile support worker to assist tenants not in our properties to maintain their housing. We also have run a NILS program and are involved in Energy Savvy.
During 2017/2018 we housed 105 families as well as direct financial support to 341 families. Our mobile support worker assisted 99 families to maintain housing.

Family Life

Family Life's services offer a whole-of-family approach: To promote effective and sustainable change the whole family is considered and where appropriate, included in the process.
Family Life offers counselling, mediation, mental health services, support and community educational services, outreach to homes, case coordination and advocacy.

Family Support Network

We are an Not for Profit organisation in Lismore offering Supported Playgroups at South Lismore and Nimbin, Child, Youth and Family Support Programs, offers emotional and practical support to families of children 0-17 years old Parenting Programs and Start Together offering support for parents of children 0-3 years.

Family Support Service Greater Darwin

Family Support Service Greater Darwin is a partnership between CAAPS and Anglicare NT. The Family Support Service provides support and assistance to families to keep their children safe, reunify children in care with their birth family and support pregnant mothers to grow up healthy and safe children. Families are supported to build relationships, strengthen parenting skills, maintain a safe home environment for their children and increase their participation within community.

FamilyCare

FamilyCare is one of regional Victoria’s largest and most progressive community service organisations, with offices across five Local Government Areas: Greater Shepparton, Mitchell, Murrindindi, Strathbogie and Moira.
FamilyCare is the main provider of child and family services in our region and in addition, we provide support to families of children with disabilities, mens, family violence, NDIS Support Coordination and a variety of carer support options.

We assist in supporting war widows and their children when the veteran has given their health or life as a result of service in war.

Far South Coast - WDVCAS

WDVCAS provides support, advocacy, referrals, information and case management for women experiencing domestic violence. We help women and their children with information about domestic and family violence, and how to get protection from the court. We see clients before, during, and after court.

This service covers the Far South Coast from Berry to Eden. If women have a domestic violence case going to court, we can assist them at all courts in this area, as well as over the phone. We also offer case management.

Far West Indigenous Family Violence Service - Charleville

Our service is funded by Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disabilities to assist individuals and families including children who are affected by Domestic and Family Violence. Witnesses to Domestic and Family Violence. Far West Indigenous Family Violence Service is managed and auspiced by the Cunnamulla Aboriginal Corporation for Health. This service provides Advice, Support, and referrals to appropriate service providers, for victims and witnesses of Domestic and Family Violence. Supporting clients to obtain safe accommodation. The coordination of education and healing programs. Our service has a Co-ordinator and a Community Worker in Cunnamulla, 1xCommunity Worker in Charleville and St George, Queensland.

Far West Indigenous Family Violence Service is a service funded by the Department of Communities, to assist individuals and families including children who are affected by Domestic and Family Violence as well as witnesses to Domestic and Family Violence.

The coordination of education and healing programs are ongoing to ensure development of safety plans and provide ongoing support to clients.

Overall the programs core business is to ensure that advice support, education and awareness is provided to victims and families suffering the affects of Domestic and Family Violence on a holistic basis. Whilst the above services are carried out, it is our duty of care to the clients to ensure that we provide a safe environment and high standard of safety of care to staff and clients.

Far West Women's Domestic Violence & Court Advocacy Service

WDVCAS is a locally based Independent Services for women and their children seeking information and support with domestic and family violence and how to get protection from the courts, we have a case management service, court hearing support, Aboriginal focus worker, and Safety Action coordinator for all Serious victims we service the Far West Region of NSW this includes Broken Hill, Wilcannia, Dareton Wenthworth, Gol Gol and surrounding areas.

FareShare Australia Incorporated - VIC

FareShare rescues surplus food and cooks free, nutritious meals for people doing it tough. In Melbourne, with the help of 1000 regular volunteers, FareShare cooks more than 6,000 free meals a day for charities such as soup vans, homeless shelters, women’s refuges and community food banks.
In 2018 FareShare opened a second production kitchen, designed to cook up to five million meals a year, in Brisbane as part of an exciting collaboration with Foodbank. The new operation effectively doubles FareShare’s social impact, bringing our daily total of cooked meals to around 12,000.

We provide meals to homeless six nights a week.We run a digital educational program.We advocate on behalf of the homeless.

FAWNA (NSW) Inc

FAWNA is a native animal care group licensed for all species in its 18,000 square kilometre area, which spans south from Bulahdelah to the northern part of the Kempsey Shire and west to Stroud and Gloucester.

Fearless Women

Through mentoring and education Fearless Women supports girls and young women meet the challenges of everyday living...and to live the life they want...fearlessly.

2018 research showed that girls and young women in the ACT experience the poorest mental health of any group in the country. This situation has not improved, yet until last year there was no organisation dedicated to helping those girls who easily fall between the cracks (the Missing Middle) and spiral to experience significant mental health challenges.

Formed in 2020, and starting to deliver services in 2022, Fearless Women provides preventative and early intervention programs so that young women, aged 10 to 25, in the ACT and surrounding areas understand emotions, their personal values and strengths. Our programs also show girls where to go for help if they start to experience poor mental health, and how to help someone who reaches out for support.

Feed It Forward Incorporated

Our organisation has a network of 500+ volunteers who saves tons and tons of edible food from landfills across Western Australia. We collect and receive donations from 160+ locations which include Coles, Woolworths and Aldi supermarkets, Nandos, Sealanes, SecondBite, Costcos, Oasis Fresh and more.....

We distribute to thousands of families in need every month, as well as, school breakfast clubs, childcare, aged care and disability centres, refuges, soup kitchens, church groups, Aboriginal groups, and the homeless.

Feed the Little Children Inc

Feed the LIttle Children is a grass roots charity based in Broome, Western Australia. We are dedicated to alleviating food insecurity for children in Broome and have plans to expand to other towns in the Kimberley. Our charity prepares and delivers healthy and nutritious hot meals to 350 children from food insecure households in Broome every Friday and Saturday nights. We also hold cooking classes each school term for the children we service to teach them about kitchen hygiene and safe food handling and storage and the planning and preparation of healthy and nutritious meals which are cost effective. We have recently received funding to cover the costs of running a fortnightly outreach program on Sundays, hosting a community BBQ for children facing food insecurity. Our vision is to ensure that hungry Broome bellies are filled for better educational and health outcomes, along with holding space for children to yarn with us and engage in positive relationships with Broome Youth.
