National Partners

Our National Partners are awesome. Incredible in fact. It’s thanks to their belief in GIVIT and what we do that GIVIT is able to spend 100% of publicly donated funds to purchase exactly what's needed for people in hardship.

We’re often asked how we can do that. It’s largely due to the support of these partners who significantly help fund our operational costs.

Government Partners

Before GIVIT, donation management was a tricky business. And very labour and resource-intensive. Ineffective even. Time and time again we see communities and charities overwhelmed by well-meaning donations that are not needed, or not needed right now.

Imagine a truckload of clothes dropped off to a street still soaked by floodwaters. Or a box of goods dropped outside a Rural Fire Station - blocking the exit for trucks. Don’t laugh – it happens!

Unwanted donations cause chaos. It means an intense effort is required to sort, store and ultimately throw away donations. And that breaks our heart.

Our Government partners also don’t want beautiful donations thrown away. We want them to help change lives. GIVIT ensures giving is coordinated, and reaches the people who need it.

Our Patron

Camilla Parker-Bowles, Queen Consort of the United Kingdom

Her Majesty The Queen Consort

GIVIT is honoured to have the Queen Consort as our patron.

During the 2019-2020 bushfires Her Royal Higness donated school uniforms & supplies for children in bushfire-affected communities, as well as hardware items, equipment and materials for rural families to repair their properties.

The Queen Consort supports GIVIT’s model of giving to communities and individuals in a practical way, ensuring those who require help receive the exact items they need, while buying locally to help recovering communities.

She's also passionate about helping people impacted by domestic and family violence.

“I am delighted to accept the kind request of GIVIT’s Founder, Juliette Wright, to become the charity’s first Patron. I have watched and listened to the daily news of how Australians are suffering from these catastrophic bushfires and, now, the coronavirus and my heart goes out to them.  As Patron of GIVIT, I hope I shall be able to help this remarkable charity deal with a crisis at grassroots level.”

Founder & Ambassador

Juliette Wright OAM, Founder of GIVITJuliette Wright, OAM

Juliette Wright is an inspired and passionate social justice campaigner. She created GIVIT in 2009 with a goal to connect those who have with those who need.

Through Juliette’s vision and determination, GIVIT has become the smart way for Australians to give to vulnerable people in their own communities. GIVIT also provides an award-winning Disaster and Emergency Recovery Service to manage donation flow after disasters.

From an idea discussed around the kitchen table, GIVIT is now a critical player in disaster recovery and an essential everyday resource for thousands of charities, schools and community organisations. Juliette has built a small but passionate team and, as a result, more Australians get more of the help they need when they need it.

Juliette has received numerous awards for her charity initiatives and disaster recovery innovation and was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2019 and Australia’s Local Hero in 2015 by the National Australia Day Council.

“I am incredibly proud of the work GIVIT has done to help millions of Australians in need. When creating GIVIT, my goal was to match generosity with genuine need. Since then, it has been truly heart-warming to witness the continual outpouring of generosity from donors, especially during times of disasters. Ensuring that generosity is directed to support people in genuine need, while protecting the dignity of recipients, has always been our priority.

I am also proud that GIVIT provides a smart way for everyday Australians to be deeply involved in the recovery of communities affected by natural disasters. GIVIT directs generous people to fulfil real needs, supporting local people and businesses, helping a community recover at their time of greatest need.

I am proud to say we continue to achieve that.”

Jade North

- 2016 NAIDOC Sportsperson of the Year
- Former Socceroos Captain

Born in the NSW community of Taree and a proud member of the Biripi Mob, Jade North is an inspiration beyond the world’s football fields.

Jade’s 20 years as a professional footballer saw him compete in teams across Asia, Europe and Australia, earning countless accolades including 2016 NAIDOC Sportsperson of the Year, the first Indigenous captain of the Socceroos and competing at the Athens and Beijing Olympic Games.

Growing up in a fractured family and enduring battles with depression, Jade became motivated to create sustainable pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to better their lives.

Jade’s passion to make a real difference is proving to be life-changing for the hundreds of Indigenous charities and communities GIVIT support across the country. Jade inspires more indigenous services to register with GIVIT and people to donate, helping to better the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our cities, rural and remote communities.

“I’m incredibly excited to be part of GIVIT’s Indigenous program that asks our communities across Australia exactly what our most vulnerable people need to improve their situation. I want to support and inspire as many Indigenous children and communities as possible, and there’s no better platform that provides dignity and hope to each donation recipient than GIVIT and their National Indigenous Support Program.”
