Sarah Tennant, GIVIT CEO
After joining GIVIT in 2014 as General Manager of Disaster Recovery, Sarah stepped into the CEO role in 2019. As CEO, Sarah leads the strategic direction of GIVIT, raising GIVIT's profile and overseeing the ongoing development of GIVIT’s international award-winning donation management platform. Key to this is adopting emerging technologies and delivering organisation wide process optimisation to continuously improve and develop seamless technology delivering greater social impact. Sarah has shaped GIVIT’s ‘ground up’ ethos which ensures that community members, leaders, and local support organisations are heard and empowered to make decisions about community needs.
Jo Beadle, GIVIT National Manager
Jo Beadle is a disaster recovery specialist with more than twenty years experience in community recovery and resilience.
As National Manager at GIVIT, Jo leads the national and state engagement teams. In this role, Jo manages federal, state and local government relationships as well as key government agencies and disaster recovery providers. She is also responsible for recruiting and supporting charities in preparation for disaster events and raising the profile of GIVIT’s Disaster Recovery Service amongst individual and corporate donors.
She has held previous roles with the Queensland Reconstruction Authority, Ipswich City Council and Queensland Department of Local Government, Community Recovery and Resilience. Prior to this, Jo had an extensive career in the Royal Australian Navy which included multiple humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. Jo holds a Bachelors Degree in Emergency Management from Charles Sturt University.
