Dundula State School

Dundula SS is a small school of approx 70 students. We have a low ICSEA value of 6 / 100 which relates to the socio-economic status of our families as well as a number of other social factors (low employment, educational level of parents, housing etc). We have a chaplain 2 days per week and have many high needs children and a high proportion of indigenous children. Our staff are committed to improving educational and social outcomes for our children. Many of children see school as their safe place. We value education greatly and aspire to have as many of our students break the poverty cycle as we can. We want to help them see how a good education can help them break this cycle. We work hard to provide the students with their essential needs, when many come to school without these things. Our staff work hard to provide our students with a safe and caring environment. We acknowledge the correlation between attendance and achievement and work hard to improve attendance for some families.
