This resident has been in an ongoing battle with the insurance company who continue to deny that the damage to the property is flood impacted despite ERV assessment report stating that it is. The resident has had to use personal money to make repairs to the property and is experiencing the financial burden of doing so. The resident is trying to be resilient battling the insurance company and is awaiting further details to support her claim. This has taken a toll on her mental and emotional wellbeing with is not helped by the current cost of living that many are experiencing. Trying to cover repairs as well as maintaining the basic necessities is become overwhelming as well as challenging.
