This Brave Mother of 2 school aged children has escaped her coercive and violent (now ex) husband. She will not return to the family home, resolving to protect her children and herself from being exposed to any more harm. This dedicated parent and her children are left homeless with 5 weeks until their new family member arrives – or any time before! Mother and children have been isolated from family support however local services are on board seeking options for housing, financial and legal support options. For now, this mother has requested store vouchers that will help her provide and prepare for the essential and immediate changes (newborn and school aged children’s needs). Mum is trying to ensure, at this difficult time, that the impact of violence and displacement on her young family is minimised.
