This domestic violence survivor has endured a long journey to safety both physically and financially. She was significantly impacted by the Oct 2022 floods and it has taken a toll financially. Her small business was impacted by the flood but she was rejected for grant assistance and has been unable to re-open. She has been rejected for Centrelink payments because it appears to them that she has assets. All her documents and minimal assets are still under her ex- abusive partners control whilst legal assistance is sort for her. She has once again been impacted by 2024 floods and her belongings, very minimal have been damaged. She has endured ongoing hardship and compounding financial stress. Any assistance will assist in buying essential items such as food, toiletries, fuel and medications.
