Trying to save her home after the 2022 SEQ Floods
This client is in extreme financial distress due to a long run of difficulties post-2022-flooding.
She is on the disability pension and cannot work anymore, despite a good working record before her disabilities.
She has been relying on boarders to assist with her mortgage repayments, but can't have anyone there after the 2022 floods caused black mould and a leaking roof. Now her roof repairs are on hold with the contractor and it is still leaking. She is trying everything to pull together the money to keep her home.
In the meantime, she wants to work on her hoarding tendencies. We have found a group program called "Buried in Treasures" but she needs a laptop and funding for the course.
We hope that the community or GIVIT can assist with these costs. It would be greatly appreciated.
