Disadvantaged students seeking education sources during times of Financial Hardship and Home Disruption.
Our program provides many families with financial support. This is a free education program. Homework Clubs have been running for many years and are a very successful way of assisting people through difficult times. This enables students, who would otherwise miss out on after-school education, the ability to study and gain tutoring. Our organisation serves as a safe and supportive environment where students are matched with experienced volunteers for free literacy and numeracy support.
We run 4 homework clubs in Canberra. These will take place at Public Libraries across town and support a total of 40 students who have been prioritised based on current academic performance and attendance.
We expand programs as demands increase; it is becoming increasingly difficult for us to manage these programs on our own. For that reason, we are seeking your help for us to continue supporting families in need.
