Single mum, very little financial support, healing from DV, ongoing health issues, struggling with increased cost of living.

Parent struggling to find employment due to ongoing health issues and educational barriers. Living day by day with the limited money already coming into the home through the generosity of friends, family and community. They are also experiencing ongoing hardship and financial difficulties from the 2022 floods.

A recent car break-down requiring urgent repairs, but parent has no means to pay for the repairs. This has added extra pressure at this festive time and left this family without transport. Parent is at risk of homelessness with the increase cost of living.

Single parent's budget will not stretch to cover school fees. Family have been very diligent with budgeting; they have recently had to replace kitchen appliances as they were beyond repair and the family car had broken down on a number of occasions and now beyond repair as well. This student has learning difficulties and I'm so proud that he is still attending school, wanting to complete Y12 to better his chances of obtaining an apprenticeship next year.
