Young couple with school aged children working on property - 1.6 metres of water through all living areas and building
Young couple with school aged children had 1.6 metres of flood water inundated the property where they were working. The people had to be evacuated by helicopter during the crisis and were unable to return to the property for several weeks. They are still cleaning up the property trying to restore it to preflood condition. Most of their personal possessions were unsalvageable.
Household goods and soft furnishing destroyed by water, mud and mould. Personal goods such as clothing, shoes, toiletries were ruined. The School of the Air classroom was damaged - craft supplies, books, computer equipment were wrecked
