The person was flooded in Brisbane 2022 and lost all her belongings.

The person's house was flooded with contaminated water. All belongings/furniture destroyed. Only income part pension, and was not insured. Funding roof repairs (borrowed money from parents). Structural grant $7000 for other repairs. Ongoing mould and pest issues, moisture in home. Asthma exacerbated, and reports skin issues. Regularly purchasing items from Op Shop to replace due to mould (clothing, bedding). Does not have a washing machine. Chronic back pain (has had mattresses replaced, however basic mattress, not orthopaedic as previously owned). May benefit from mattress topper, and does not have sufficient blankets. No flooring, using old blanket on floor in bedroom to provide cover for floor. Struggles to buy food, medical care and pay bills. In arrears for mortgage (on hold until July). Hoping to sell home when repairs completed. Had renovated home prior to floods. Has contacted Centrelink re eligibility for additional payment. Lives alone, nil social supports.
