The Client is a 54year old man who was rendered homeless by the Lismore floods. Client lost all of his possessions as a result of the floods. Living in temporary flood village accommodation since the floods. He has just now been offered a social Housing Unit by DCJ housing. Client previously lost all of his possessions in the flood leaving him with nothing to furnish his new unit.
Client has significant history of trauma and loss. Client has impressed Case Worker with his resilience and future focussed attitude to recovery. Client richly deserves support to set himself up in permanent accommodation after 2 years of flood induced homelessness.
