Indigenous lady in remote community struggling to navigate rough terrain with a manual wheelchair
Ageing Indigenous lady residing in a remote indigenous community in Far North Queensland requires a hand to stay connected with community. Unable to navigate the community because of rough terrain and unsuitability of her manual wheelchair and her age.
Her support organisation has sourced a power wheelchair for her but need some funds to pay for batteries to enable her power wheelchair to function. This will assist her to get out and about in the remote community in which she lives in Far North Queensland. Preventing social isolation is critical for all of us, and in remote communities even more so. please help us support this lady to regain connections with her family and wider community.
