Family of 5 own a small farm plus owner operator truck driver.
This family of 5 own a small farm that they live on. They are also owner operators of a Truck who missed out on accessing any government grants due to the small business grant closing so early in the flood recovery process (07/02/23). They have been struggling financially with having lost so much work with the truck being trapped and they lost all their crop and a lot of stock. They have been putting a lot of money into replacing feed to keep their stock alive and have had zero support in their flood recovery efforts. The wife lost her job as a teacher aid due to the child she supported moving away due to the floods. She has not been able to obtain another job at this stage. The 3 children are primary school age.
