School Shoes
Help a 12-year-old boy who's getting bullied and not wanting to attend school because he doesn't have shoes.
12-year-old boy who loved school until this year; after escaping domestic violence, he and his mother struggled financially and were unable to purchase all back-to-school items. The boy had no choice to wear the shoes from last year, despite them falling apart and his toes sticking out the end, he wore the daily, what he wasn't prepared for was the bulling he got from wearing torn dirty shoes. He attempted to ignore the words, but with weeks of taunting and name calling, he stopped attending school and is at risk of disengaging altogether.
We are seeking support to purchase a new pair of shoes; to help him return to school with confidence, he loves school it would be a shame to let the bullies' impact on his educational and social well-being.
