Widow Impacted By Fire
Resident is an older woman who had to evacuate for over 2 weeks during the Rocky Road Bushfires 22 Feb 2024. fires came within 3km of her home and power outages destroyed several hundred dollars worth of meat and frozen food from her freezers. Shortly after returning home from the evacuation her partner of 17 years passed away from a heart attack in their home. Since the fires she has been slowly coming to terms with the grief of her partner passing and recovering financially. The resident is on a pension however finds it is hard to make ends meet. The resident is an animal lover and describes how her animals have been her biggest support this year and she wouldnt have survived without her dog toto, cat, Cockatoo, 2 bugies and chooks. Any donations would be a heartfelt welcome to this resiliant resident.
