Single mother fleeing domestic violence, belongings stolen during house move, seeking support
Our tenant is a single mother of three young children who has escaped a domestic violence relationship. Since leaving this relationship she has been able to secure housing for her and her children in the hopes of moving on to a safer, new life. During the moving process, she had placed several boxes of belongings in her new home and while leaving the house to retrieve further items, her new home was broken into and all belongings stolen. Items included boxes of children's clothing, photos and personal items, kitchen appliances and household goods. The police were able to recover a few items but the majority of items had already been sold for profit. Our tenant has been through an incredible difficult time and we are looking to support her to rebuild her life and start again with her children. We are seeking gift cards for stores so she is able to fund new children’s clothing and essential household goods.
