Single mum, injured back, child with a disablitly struggling to be comfortable in new rented home
The applicant states that the water got halfway up the two story home, flooding the entire first story and then flooding a metre and half of the second story. Rescued from neighbors by kayaks and tinny's. The applicant moved back into the flood house but kept struggling to find it live-able, struggling to find lasting housing for her and her nine-year-old child, since the floods. Lost pretty much all possessions in the flood and has lost more stuff post-flood because of the mold. Both applicant and child are sleeping on camping mattresses at the moment and have no proper furniture. She is the sole caregiver and provider for her autistic child and is in desperate need of basic necessities. Mother has mobility issues with back issues.
