Couple impacted by recent Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

Older couple impacted by wind, rain and flooding during the cyclone being required to evacuate to an evacuation centre. There was no room for them and their large dog at the evacuation centre, and they had to stay in their car in the evacuation centre carpark. Whilst they were away, their home experienced a power outage for many days, and they lost all of their food in their fridge and freezer, and they had flood water come into the lower storey of their home. The wind damaged their blinds and hot water system, and they had no hot water for weeks. Essential stores and services remained closed for a period of time after the cyclone event, and they were unable to replenish their fridge for many days.
