Gifts for patients in the Psychiatric ward over Christmas
The patients of our Psychiatric Unit come to the ward, typically, with no notice or warning that they are in the midst of a mental health crisis. They experience what is sometimes the lowest point of their life and we want to support them through their recovery. This is especially the case for patients at the hospital over the Christmas period, and many of our patients have limited social supports to visit them over this period.
We are planning to brighten their Christmas, with a festive Christmas lunch and gifts for all patients. We are seeking donations in the form of either:
- Gifts (please non-perishable, gender neutral & non-religious)
- Big W / Kmart vouchers.
These donations will enable us to provide a gift for our 60 patients who will be in the hospital over Christmas, and hopefully bring some Christmas cheer to those in need and support their ongoing recovery.
