Asylum seeker family need your support
I am working with a mother and her two children who are seeking asylum and have long been awaiting the outcome of their application. While they wait they have no access to Government supports and rely on the very limited support of charities. On top of the financial hardship the mother has experienced family violence which was limiting her to seek employment. As a result of past and ongoing traumas the mother is facing mental health challenges whilst trying to care for her 2 young daughters and ensuring she can provide for them.
