72 year old woman, homeless for 18 months because her son's wife didn't want her living with the family.
This 72 year old woman has been homeless for 18 months because her son would not look after her. (His partner did not want her living with them and the children even though she had nowhere to go). This woman could not afford a private rental so she has been living on the streets trying to support herself on the aged pension. This woman is heartbroken - she does not get to see her grandchildren anymore, she is desperately sad and lonely. She is very emotional, frightened and lonely. This woman has just been issued with a Department of Housing unit and now she needs items to make it her home. She needs support to buy all of her basics needs for herself & her home.
