This 54 year old single mother is living with her daughter and her daughter's father (her ex partner). Both she and her daughter have experienced domestic violence situations with the man they currently live with but they have no where else to go. This woman receives a disability support pension due to a physical disability but she cannot support herself and her daughter and save for school requirements on the DSP. This woman is extremely concerned about her daughter's forthcoming school requirements. The daughter is about to enter high school and the mother cannot afford to buy her a laptop. She cannot afford the school uniform either, just a shirt and shorts. This woman has expressed how helpless she feels on not being able to give her daughter the essentials she needs to pursue her senior studies.
