GIVIT
First Nations Support
Our program is an established and culturally competent foundational learning program that aligns with the principles, practices and outcomes of Belonging, Being and Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF) and is inclusive of all children, including those with special needs.
The program delivers quality early learning and family support programs to young children and their families. We have developed a place-based program to engage families and the community, and build parents’ capacity to give their children the best start in life.
Our program provides a minimum of 20 hours per week of face-to-face group sessions. In addition, family and child engagement will occur through home visiting, outreach programs, parent capacity building and developmental screening.
We operate from a very remote community with approximately 100 0-4 year-olds. Resources are limited in quantity and quality and high in price.
