The Best Beginnings Plus program works within Intensive family support for families facing adversities such as family and domestic violence, homelessness, and addiction.
BB works closely with Mothers and families in pregnancy through to when baby is 1 years old. The program aims to support the family in the early stages. This support looks like parenting education, transport to medical appointments, tracking Childs development and so much more.
When working in the antenatal period we like to support these disadvantaged families with a hospital bag with all the maternity and baby essentials to help them prepare. Once baby has arrived we then try and educate about the importance of a Childs development, such as promoting tummy time by providing them with a chid safe play mat and age appropriate toys.
These items help us educate and support our families when they have a baby and we would appreciate some vouchers so we can continue implementing these lessons effectively.
