This story follows a strong Indigenous woman who has become the backbone of her family. She is currently caring full-time for her two brothers, both living with disabilities, while also supporting her own children and her nieces and nephews after other family members were unable to provide care. With no external assistance, she carries this responsibility alone, ensuring everyone in her home is safe, fed, and loved.
Due to the level of care required, she is unable to work, leaving the household with no extra income to meet even the most basic daily needs. Despite the constant pressure and financial hardship, she continues to put her family first, drawing on resilience, cultural strength, and an unwavering sense of responsibility to keep her family together during an incredibly challenging time.
