GIVIT
A woman that had stored her personal belongings in the family home garage after she separated from her partner. The home and garage were flooded and she lost the majority of her stored belongings. She was also at the home on the day of the flood and got stuck in the town and had to be evacuated by boat from the home. Her uninsured car was also damaged beyond repair by the flood waters.
As she was no longer residing in the home that was flooded she was not deemed eligible for any
Re-establishment payments from the Government.
She has been struggling with multiple traumatic events over the past two years and now her daughter who lives with her is pregnant and about to be a single mum which will add more pressure.
