Living on her farm when the 2022 floods hit, she lost over 100 animals (she cared for abandoned rabbits and guinea pigs) and also lost her home. She floated downstream whilst still inside her home until it broke in half. She was eventually rescued and ended up in an evac centre. After the 2022 flood she purchased a caravan and small car with the flood grant money and got by renting spaces in people's backyards to park the caravan. She was living in her caravan during TC Alfred when a tree came down onto the caravan making a hole in the roof of the caravan making it unlivable. Approx 2 months ago she passed out and fell into a diabetes induced coma, she was on the floor of her caravan for 5 days until she was found by emergency services and taken to the hospital. After spending two months in hospital, she has been moved into temporary accommodation as he caravan in not suitable to live in considering the damage caused by TC Alfred and her health issues.
