A proud Torres Strait Islander man has been released after over 10 years in prison. He’s ready to rebuild but has nothing. No bed. No fridge. No clothes beyond what he walked out with. No phone. No iPad or computer to apply for jobs. No transport to get to interviews or services.
He has turned his life around and wants to give back, especially by mentoring young Indigenous men at risk of going down the same path. He carries his past with humility and his culture with pride, determined to use his lived experience to break cycles and help others grow.
He’s not asking for a handout, just a hand up. He urgently needs furniture, white goods, a phone, a laptop or iPad, clothing, and transport.
