My client lost everything in Tropical Cyclone Jasper. Stuck on the roof of a local building with her kids in the middle of the night while her home was inundated and fallen trees and other debris boomed past, she was shaken to the core. Forced to relocate to another city while her home was re-built, she had to leave her job, her support network, and her community behind.
6 months passed and she was able to return home and much of what she lost had been replaced (a lot by GIVIT!), but many essential items were still missing, and without a steady income to replace these, she went without.
Although she hasn't asked for it, I'm trying to round up the last bits and pieces to return her home back to how it was and allow her to move on from the experience. If you think you can help, we'd greatly appreciate the support!
