A 30-year-old mother flees both family and domestic violence after losing her two children to the child protection system. Mum has a complex upbringing herself, a traumatised victim of family violence and the intersecting realms of oppression that come with intergenerational trauma. Additionally, this mother fell victim to intimate partner violence and was struggling to navigate family life as a result. Now, mum is trying very hard to fight for her children who are on reunification orders. She is supported by a domestic violence service, and seeks additional support to maintain better mental health, housing, financial stability and freedom with her family.
