She is a mother who has recently gained full custody of her three children after a lengthy and expensive legal process. To afford the legal fees, she had to sell her home and is still repaying costs associated with finalising matters with her ex-partner.
Her eldest child is on the autism spectrum and is currently refusing to attend school, requiring her to be a full-time carer. The other two children, aged 11 and 5, are also too young to be left alone, which makes it difficult for her to work.
During the flood in 2021-2022, she lost many personal items, including belongings and clothing of her oldest son who just passed away. This emotional loss has added further strain to her already difficult situation.
Support through fuel and grocery vouchers would help relieve some immediate financial pressure and allow her to better care for her family.
