Single mother of two children (3 years and 1 year), one with high medical needs due to a disability identified at birth. Mum's capacity has been impacted by her ex-partners use of violence towards her, limiting the children's access to much needed medical attention.
Mum's eldest child (7 years) has been reunified, and the family are accessing the NDIS for a recent Autism and ADHD diagnosis, which mum sought privately to engage with services due to the child's aggressive behaviours. This process has resulted in financial instability for the family, who are seeking support to provide groceries during the christmas period.
