Every day, we deal with vulnerable, lost and lonely women & girls that live with or have escaped from domestic violence.
Many of the women that we meet each week at our Frontline Services are either; living with, trying to escape from, or have recently escaped - Domestic Violence. Other woman are homeless, lonely and isolated, they are all in need of care, support and a human connection. This Christmas, due to the global financial crisis, we anticipate a huge demand from people requiring support for food vouchers and gifts for their children or grandchildren. We provide ongoing face to face and phone support to women in need. Many have fled domestic violence and are subsequently living in a car or a tent, sleeping on park benches or couch surfing, some are in crisis accommodation, often with children. We provide 22 shifts a week across Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan and the Gold Coast, these shifts provide people with an opportunity to charge their phone, use a scanner and/or photocopier, request support and have a cup of tea or coffee and something to eat.
