SIngle Mother of 2 with Ataxia (degenerative disease of the nervous system) and health conditions that resulted in a liver transplant, removal of multiple tumors and the loss of movement on the left side of her body requiring her to walk with a cane until she will lose movement in her body altogether over the next 5 years. Her partner left her when her health issues became apparent.
She worked as a shift manager and led an active lifestyle with her children. No longer able to work, she decided to study to keep her mind active as her body deteriorates and to set an example of strength for her children (aged 9 and 12). She is reliant on a pension and is recovering from the Floods in QLD which is putting a strain on the family financially and on her mental and physical health. She is now experiencing seizures and been diagnosed with Autism and ADHD and Ataxia. Her body is deteriorating as is her brain and memory function. This is devastating for the herself and her children.
