This single father and his two young daughters had their lives turned upside down during the 2025 Mid North Coast floods. In a matter of hours, the water took everything they owned — their home, their belongings, and the sense of safety and stability they had worked hard to build together.
Now, he is doing his best to hold things together day by day while living in temporary accommodation. With two small girls relying on him, every decision is about keeping them safe, supported, and reassured during an incredibly uncertain time. The constant moves and lack of a stable home have made it difficult to re-establish routines, something so important for young children who have already experienced significant trauma.
He is facing the overwhelming task of finding a permanent place to live while also needing to replace all essential household items from scratch — beds, clothing, kitchen items, and the everyday basics most families take for granted.
