We are seeking support for a single father in our community who is currently facing a number of significant challenges.
He and his elderly mother lost everything while living in their rental property and were left without their essential belongings. Following the loss of their home and possessions, they spent a period of time in emergency accommodation before recently securing a new place to live.
As renters, they did not have insurance and unfortunately are not eligible for government grants that might normally assist people in these circumstances. This has made the process of starting over particularly difficult.
Adding to these challenges, he is currently managing an injury that is impacting both his day-to-day life and his ability to earn an income. Despite this, he remains committed to caring for his elderly mother and working towards rebuilding a stable home for them both.
