Resilient young women needing support upon release from prison
GIVIT
Support for a resilient young women who has faced a life of challenges from the moment she was born, being born premature and taking part in pioneering stem cell research. She has suffered from homelessness, sexual abuse, domestic violence and battled substance use all whilst trying to navigate life with schizoaffective bipolar disorder and an intellectual disability. She is due to be released from Prison and now has a few supportive people in her corner to support her in living a more positive and happy life upon release free from AOD, however funds are limited to what can be purchased for her to aid in her rehabilitation back into the community and learning to navigate life and overcome any challenges without returning to old habits.
