In 2025, our incredible partner Hanes Australasia donated an extraordinary 100,000 quality items to GIVIT, bringing comfort, dignity and relief to thousands of Australians doing it tough.
Through GIVIT’s Bulk Stock Program, this partnership delivers essential support while helping build a circular economy by repurposing excess stock into life‑changing donations. Beautiful pieces from Sheridan and Bonds are placed directly into the hands of people who need them most.
These donations have already made a profound difference for:
- families escaping domestic and family violence
- communities recovering from Tropical Cyclone Alfred and the floods in NSW
- First Nations families
- young people in need.

Clothing with compassion in Melbourne
When life turns upside down, even the most basic essentials can mean the world. For people escaping domestic violence, living in crisis accommodation, or navigating hardship, dignity often begins with something as simple as fresh clothing.
This is why a donation of Bonds underwear and women’s leggings to The Generosity Collective in Melbourne made a huge impact. Through GIVIT, Bonds' generosity reached a grassroots charity that creates crisis care packs for people experiencing their most vulnerable moments.
Each pack includes new toiletries, underwear, pyjamas, and clothing tailored to the recipient’s needs. These packs bring comfort and care during an incredibly traumatic time.
Co-founders of The Generosity Collective, Natalie Dymond and Elise Stevens said:
"Thank you once again for your generous support and ongoing partnership with Bonds. Your recent donation of male and female underwear, as well as women’s leggings, has been invaluable to our charity. Every crisis care pack we assemble includes brand new socks and underwear - small yet essential items that offer comfort, dignity, and a sense of care to those facing hardship.
Through GIVIT’s continued support, your generosity has once again reached our grassroots charity, enabling us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those doing it tough."
Supporting women's health and wellbeing
During Women’s Health Week, St Mary’s House of Welcome, a long‑standing open‑access drop‑in centre in the heart of Melbourne, hosted a special afternoon tea for women facing homelessness and deep social disadvantage.
As a service that provides thousands of nutritious meals, warm showers, clean clothing, toiletries and a safe communal space for people experiencing homelessness, poverty and social isolation, St Mary’s plays a vital role in supporting some of Melbourne’s most vulnerable community members.
Thanks to Hanes' generous donation of clothing, attendees left not only supported, but with essential items to ease their everyday challenges.
Another organisation supporting women and families escaping domestic and family violence, Barnardos Cranebrook, shared this after receiving a similar donation:
"We appreciate this large donation of bras and bath robes from Hanes. We this donation we are able to support many community members with bras that fit them. With such a variety of bras available we have something for everyone. Many of our community members struggle week to week on low income and with the current rising cost of living buying a new bra or robe is the last thing they are thinking of, but having these available in our centre with no questions asked they can help themselves and have one less worry in such a hard time in their life."

Thanks to Hanes' support, Redland Community Centre provided comfort and dignity to families starting their recovery journey.
A soft place to land after Tropical Cyclone Alfred
In the wake of Tropical Cyclone Alfred, many families lost bedding and linen to flooding and mould. Some used every towel and sheet they owned to soak up rising water, leaving nothing salvageable.
Hanes reached out to GIVIT with a donation of hundreds of pillows, bed linen and towels, which were delivered to our registered partner, the Redland Community Centre. For families returning to damp, damaged homes, these pillows offered a warm, clean place to rest during an exhausting recovery.
A clothing lifeline across Gippsland
Tabitha’s Closet, a mobile clothing initiative supporting people facing social, economic and physical hardship, received essential items to distribute across Gippsland.
Their van visits Traralgon, Churchill, Morwell, Rosedale and Wurruk, providing free clothing to people who often have nowhere else to turn.
A huge donation of women's bras and underwear helped ensure their community could access suitable clothing with dignity and respect.
Meagan Bennetts from Tabitha’s Closet Van shared:
"At Tabitha’s Closet, we are seeing more people than ever who cannot afford even the most basic essentials - underwear, socks, shoes. Your generous donation has been a lifeline for so many in our community.
Right now, we are helping over 100 families every month across 5 different locations in Gippsland, and the need continues to grow.
Recently, a woman who had been sleeping rough came to one of our locations. She was able to find fresh, new clothing and underwear from our van, have a shower at the neighbourhood house, and changed straight into her new outfit. She left standing a little taller, feeling seen and valued.
Because of Hanes’ generosity, we are able to provide dignity where it’s most needed. Your donation is more than clothing - it is hope, care, and a tangible reminder to those doing it tough, that they matter. Thank you for partnering with us to transform lives."
Thoughtful, purposeful giving
This partnership between Hanes Australasia and GIVIT shows the incredible power of kindness. When quality items are redirected with purpose, they become comfort, hope and a lifeline for people rebuilding their lives.
Thank you, Hanes Australasia, Sheridan and Bonds, for helping Australians feel supported when they need it most.
